Ennis is ideally located and is an easy town to get to from anywhere in Ireland. It’s located centrally in Co. Clare, and is just 35 minutes from Limerick, 1 hour from Galway, and 2 hours 20 minutes from Dublin. There are also rail and bus links, and Shannon airport is nearby.

The Ennis Street Festival is located in the centre of the town. There are some pre-festival events in Glór Theatre.

From Limerick, take the N18/M18 and leave at exit 12, then follow signs for Ennis/Ennis Town Centre

From Galway, follow signs for Limerick, until you join the N18/M18. Leave at exit 14, Ennis/Barefield, and follow signs for Ennis/Ennis Town Centre

From Cork, follow signs for Limerick, until you join N20/M20. At Limerick, follow signs to join the N18/M18 (Signs for Galway, Shannon, Ennis). Leave at exit 12, then follow signs for Ennis/Ennis Town Centre. It is strongly recommended to take the Tunnel if coming from Cork and not going into Limerick (toll charge of €1.90 applies).

From Dublin, follow signs for Limerick, until you join the N7/M7. At Limerick, follow signs to join the N18/M18 (Signs for Galway, Shannon, Ennis). Leave at exit 12, then follow signs for Ennis/Ennis Town Centre. It is strongly recommended to take the Tunnel if coming from Dublin and not going into Limerick (toll charge of €1.90 applies).

If you fly into Shannon Airport, you can continue to Ennis by car or by bus.

By Car, follow signs for Ennis/Galway on the N19, then take the M18 and leave at exit 12. Follow signs for Ennis/Ennis Town Centre.

It’s a ten minute walk into town from the the bus and train station in Ennis. Turn left onto Quin Road, and continue straight onto Station Road. At the end, turn right onto O’Connell Street.

It is well sign posted.
